Studies on safety at work in the sectors of Agriculture, Construction and Shipbuilding with regard to risks from chemical substances.
Research covering one of the most demanding themes in the province where there are an average of 7,500 injuries at work. This is precisely why the Provincial authorities have promoted the project ‘New Technologies To Safeguard One’s Life And Job’ which is financed by the Tuscan Region and managed by Provincia di Livorno Sviluppo. It includes research into safety in the sectors of Agriculture, Construction and Shipbuilding. Local, national and European data show that these are the three areas which suffer most from accidents and work-related illness.
“Le nuove tecnologie a tutela della vita e dell’occupazione”, [‘New Technologies To Safeguard One’s Life And Job’] is an integrated project aimed at the above mentioned sectors and includes training and dissemination alongside the research. This study has provided scientific knowledge on the particular nature of the three sectors with regard to safety. University professors have gathered data and supplied it to the local health authorities to complete the study on the nature of injuries throughout the Livorno province.
